Top Mch - Master of Surgery

Introduction

The Master of Surgery abbreviated MCh is an advanced qualification in surgery. The program lasts between two and three years and the possession of a medical degree is a prerequisite. The MCh enables experienced, qualified doctors to achieve a postgraduate certification that will enhance their clinical expertise and transfer to them an evidence-based approach to health care practice. These programs are addressed to graduates in medicine, young men and women who are already doctors or surgeons but want to acquire skills related to contemporary surgical practice and research. Master of Surgery or MCh pathways allow students to extend their knowledge to advanced levels within their specialist area of work. Boys and girls interested in a career in surgery are required to have a medical degree and often a Master of Surgery or MCh degree as well since it is a statement of deep knowlegde of this clinical area.

The Director General of the World Health Organisation calls Family 12icine Doctors "our rising stars of the future" reflecting WHO’s renewed commitment to build family 12icine as a primary speciality across all regions. This degree in Family 12icine takes forward WHO’s new vision of primary health care. The degree is awarded by the University of Edinburgh and taught in partnership with the Christian 12ical College, Vellore, India, and expert clinical members of the International Christian 12ical and Dental Association (ICMDA). The programme will equip students with the skills to become expert family 12icine doctors, doctors who resolve more and refer less, whose presence will improve the quality of patient care by providing continuity and an understanding of the family and community context.
