The programme prepares you for work as a professional economist in the private and public sector, or for a career in research.
Our teaching is informed by the research and scholarship of teaching staff, and is designed to motivate you to achieve your full potential. All MSc students take a module in Research Methods, which provides practical skills and knowledge for MSc-level research. Students have widely differing backgrounds in mathematics, so the first week of all our Master’s programmes is given over to compulsory intensive teaching in mathematics.
