The International Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IMIE) is a 12-month International Master programme offered by POLIMI Graduate School of Management, that provides students with the necessary skills for a managerial career in the entrepreneurial world, including leadership and decision-making, market development, sustainable and cost-effective management of innovation – as well as stimulating their personal development. The master also offers the possibility of getting a MSc in Entrepreneurship from WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management by attending an additional year at WHU.

The International Master in Innovation & Entrepreneurship (IMIE)is designed for candidates who want to think and act as entrepreneurs and become innovative leaders. In fact, the emergence of new technologies and the broadening of global markets create continuous opportunities for new business development and challenge the established market positions.

The course is entirely taught in English and has a duration of 12 months, starting with a General Management foundation block, followed by core courses in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and then electives in Digital Transformation. The final block engages students in a Project Work, where participants will have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned over the previous months by further developing their business idea or doing an internship (non-mandatory) in companies or start-ups.

The course also allows students to interact with the company partners, in particular with Polihub – the Innovation Park & Startup Accelerator of Politecnico di Milano, ranked second in Europe and in the TOP 5 in the world by UBI Global.

The master also offers the possibility of obtaining an MSc in Entrepreneurship from WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management by attending an additional year at WHU.

You will need to accomplish and present an academic or company-based project in the form of a short thesis or describe the project you have developed in partnership with one or more companies.

LEADERSHIP & MANAGERIAL SKILLS
The Master will give you the opportunity to acquire and develop leadership and managerial skills through dedicated modules such as: Negotiation, Effective Communication, Leadership and Team Dynamics.

MASTER YOUR GROWTH
You will have the chance to try out a series of activities aimed at boosting your business networking opportunities, discovering the business world and enhancing your skills as a future professional.

PRACTICE WEEK
During the second segment of the programme, you will also have the chance to take part in the ‘Practice Week’, an experiential week dedicated to corporate innovation and entrepreneurship to focus on how companies achieve these two aspects in their organisations.

Throughout your Master you will be able to access a range of services offered by the Politecnico di Milano Digital Innovation Observatories that aim to provide students and companies with an expert point of view on digital innovation through research, communication and continuous updating activities.
