Why study Advanced Midwifery Practice Full-Time at  ARU, Anglia Ruskin University?

With concerns about rising rates of intervention, you’ll be encouraged to explore how to promote normality during childbirth and how to care for vulnerable women with complex needs, with the aim of reducing intervention.

Alongside this focus on childbirth, we offer a range of optional modules that give you the chance to explore areas such as maternal mental health, safeguarding, and non-medical prescribing in more depth. Or, if you're a UK student studying on campus, you can choose to take an optional module in Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) and graduate with an additional qualification as a NIPE practitioner.

Whether you choose to study on campus or by distance learning, you’ll be supported by a team of expert tutors, who are all experienced midwives themselves.

Completing this course will enhance your career options. It could prepare you for a move into leadership positions in clinical settings, management or teaching. Or, if your interests lie in further study, it’s an ideal grounding for a postgraduate research degree, such as our professional doctorate.

Successful completion of this course will give you the potential to advance your career into leadership positions within clinical settings, or in the fields of management, research and teaching.
