The Masters in Public Economics puts the focus on decision making within firms and governments. In the context of key economic theories and practices, you’ll investigate how governments take decisions about taxes and public expenditure; how government policies affect individuals’ and firms’ behaviour; and the role of governments in solving market failures. In addition, you’ll explore the political-economy dimension of public policies. The programme is designed to give you the knowledge and skills for a successful career whether you decide to work in the private or public sector, for profit or non-profit organisations.

Finalité

The MSc Public Economics enables you to develop the specific knowledge and skills relevant to a career in your chosen field. Through analysis of the key theoretical and empirical issues in Public Economics, you’ll develop essential skills in evaluation, implementation, decision-making and research. To achieve your qualification you’ll be required to successfully complete both core and elective modules and a dissertation or business project or placement.
