The Master in Sectoral Translation and / or ONLINE Interpreting provided by the Higher School for Interpreters and Translators is aimed at Italian or foreign graduates. Candidates in possession of linguistic certification equal to at least level B1 and graduates in foreign languages or linguistic mediation (or equivalent) are exempted from the admission test.
The "Translation" course offers the possibility of specializing in one or more foreign languages and in one or more language combinations, choosing passive or active translation or both.
By PASSIVE TRANSLATION we mean the translation from the foreign language into your mother tongue, by ACTIVE TRANSLATION we mean the translation from the mother tongue into the foreign language.
The "Interpreting" course allows you to specialize in consecutive and liaison interpreting, in one or more foreign languages, and in one or more language combinations, choosing passive or active oral translation or both.
For active translation, both written and oral, a level not lower than C1 of the European Framework of Reference for languages is required, or the passing of the admission exam.
The duration, approximately six months, can be extended and shortened according to the needs of the participants.
Translation Address: For each linguistic combination, no. 21 tests of practical translation exercises (7 tests for each of the 3 chosen sectors of specialization). Each translation test is corrected and commented by the assigned teacher / tutor and accompanied by practical suggestions. The exercises are not tied to specific times.
There will be a specialist translation exam for each of the chosen sectors, for a total of 3 groups.
Interpretation course: For each foreign language of specialization, n. 40 hours of individual exercises with interpreter teacher. The exercises consist of practical tests and realistic simulations of consecutive interpreting and negotiation services with progressive difficulty and take place via videoconference, on days and times chosen according to the needs of the participants.
The final exam consists in a remote interpretation test (videoconference) on a topic already covered during the didactic path.
