The Course in Jewellery Design is aimed at those who intend to devote themselves to the design of jewellery: POLI.design, Consorzio del Politecnico di Milano, has created this course as a sign of design and the evolution of aesthetics.The course allows a rapid understanding of the logic of the industry and the basis for the production of jewellery with an overall view of the production cycle.Jewellery will be studied from the point of view of design and all its basic elements: materials, techniques, culture, trends, market, retail, communication, design, modelling and prototyping.The training course will address the complexity of all aspects of jewellery design.

Today, accessories make fashion. Shoes, jewelry, handbags and hats are the icons of style and taste, symbols of distinction and identity but also witnesses of the made in Italy quality. For this reason the major fashion brands always give more importance to accessories in its multiple interpretations requiring dedicated professionals. Accessories also intersect with the high-tech performance materials. The Higher Education Course in Jewellery Design is designed, in accordance with the spirit and tradition of the Polytechnic of Milan, to join hands and mind, experimentation and tradition, technology and craftsmanship, prototype and manufacturing. 

 

The Higher Education Course in Jewellery Design is aimed at those who wish to focus on the jewellery project.

The jewel from the deign point of view: materials, techniques, culture, trend, market, retail, communication, design, modeling, prototyping. 

POLI.design has set up this course as a sign of design and evolution of aesthetic languages.

Endgültigkeit

The training course will address the complexity of all aspects of jewellery design.The course is aimed at university graduates; graduates of art schools and jewellery institutes, business operators and professionals who wish to specialise in Jewellery Design.

Didactic Content

The Higher Education Course provides the methodological tools and the design skills to become accessory designer, with professional application ranging from fashion to product.

  • Accessory & Luxury: culture, history, trends and market = 32 hours
  • Accessory Modelling: Rhyno = 40 hours
  • Accessory Graphics and Representation = 32 hours
  • JEWELRY DESIGN = 40 hours

The selection process is based on qualifications and an interview.  Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae to formazione@polidesign.net.  The admissions board will oversee the process.
