Master degrees and postgraduate courses lasting one, two or three months, allow graduates and young professionals to acquire technical and personal skills in the chosen field of specialization. The postgraduate program with a duration that can vary from one month up to a maximum of one quarter may have frequency fulltime, part time, weekends, evenings and distance learning. Usually, these master programs and advanced training courses are offered by public and private universities, business schools, academies and institutes in Europe and world wide and they want to offer graduates a targeted preparation that allows for career progression or an insertion in the world work in managerial positions or other high-levels. After a month or two or three months depending on the duration, usually the student must take an exam to get certified in the master programme and the evaluation usually takes into considerationa the attendance of the graduate to the lessons.
