International Master in Sustainable Finance POLIMI Graduate School of Management

The International Master in Sustainable Finance is the 12-month programme that aims to provide students with the skills to contribute to the goal of sustainable development and to successfully face the challenges related to the transition to a sustainable economy. Candidates will have the possibility to apply for the Double Degree option at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo.

With the International Master in Sustainable Finance, you will gain valuable competences in managing finance in the most sustainable way, so as to protect the environment and increase social wellbeing, while creating value for shareholders in the long term. After the Master, our graduates will not only acquire the skills to lead this change but will become major promoters of such changes in their corporations. The core courses of the Master in Sustainable Finance focus on three relevant topics:

  • The first one is the impact of sustainability issues on company reporting and fundraising.
  • The second is understanding how investors, asset managers and financial consultants integrate ESG (environmental social governance) issues in the evaluation of companies, in the rating and in the investment projects.
  • The third one is to learn about specific instruments like green bonds and social bonds that are more and more diffused on financial markets.

Candidates joining the International Master in Sustainable Finance will have the possibility to apply for the Double Degree option at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo (Norway). The Double Degree partnership will offer 5 selected candidates to take up the second year of studies in Norway: candidates will need to undergo a selection process during the first year of studies at POLIMI Graduate School of Management in order to be accepted for the BI-POLIMI GSoM Double Degree programme. At the end of the programme, candidates will obtain the Master of Science in Business major Sustainable Finance from BI Norwegian Business School in addition to the First Level Specialising Master from Politecnico di Milano.
