The Master of Arts of NABA deepens the student’s knowledge with highly specialized and advanced studies, allowing the student to define his skills and making possible a first-hand experience within the professional context through field experiences.

The Master of Arts -NABA
enables students to understand the new social needs of the contemporary age, exploring new scenarios for the global designer. When it is aimed at defining social development strategies, the design is able to valorise human and natural resources, to drive sustainable innovation, to promote local communities development and to activate social evolution dynamics, through a global “coopetitive” approach. 

Over the MA, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn a design methodology crossed with the skills to operate in social, cultural and political initiatives
  • Develop projects aimed to activate social communities and to valorize environmental as well as urban and natural, contexts, through real case studies
  • Acquire the ability to read the social and cultural dynamics and to anticipate the possible future evolutions for the sustainable development of society

FIRST YEAR
It combines the design with social activation projects and the study of the relation among humans, environment and technology, investigating meanings and values of social responsibility related to community design, environmental design, product design, communication design, anthropology, and sociology.

SECOND YEAR
It enables students to develop and manage the complexity of a social design project applied to a real case study, through social design labs and courses in ecology and economy, Co-design and public policies, Art direction.

Masters and courses are recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR) as a Master of Arts degree (120 CFs).

Through exchange programmes, NABA's International Office encourages and supports students wishing to study abroad.The office promotes educational experiences at numerous prestigious international partner universities worldwide. Thanks to this vast international network, students at NABA are able to spend periods of study abroad, enriching their educational curriculum and laying the groundwork for increasingly international future careers.International study opportunities are mainly provided as part of the Erasmus+ project promoted by the European Commission, the International Exchange Program for destinations outside of Europe, the Semester Abroad Program at the Galileo Global Education and short summer courses.NABA counts more than 50 cooperation agreements with European academies and universities through the Erasmus+ Programme; the Academy also counts more than 20 international cooperation agreements with several universities outside Europe.
