The European College of Parma Foundation is a higher education institute which provides advanced academic training for young graduates coming from European and Non-EU countries in the field of European Union law, economics and policies, and, more generally, on the process of European integration.

The training provided is geared to preparing students for careers in EU, national and local institutions, professional associations, the corporate world and private practice.

One of the College’s objectives is to build up the students’ professional skills in order to enable them to deal with EU policies and participate in their implementation.

The study programme of the European College of Parma Foundation, welcomed on the EU scene, relies on an academic body including former EU Commissioners, Judges from the Court of Justice of the European Union, top-level directors of European and national institutions, university professors and experts in EU issues.

Besides the postgraduate programme leading to the Diploma and University Master in Advanced European Studies, other specialised training courses on EU law, economics and politics have been organised for local bodies (regional governments, provinces, municipalities, etc.) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

The higher education of the European College of Parma Foundation is geared to providing an in-depth interdisciplinary and multi-cultural study programme on the process of European integration.

Understanding the mechanisms that regulate the delicate process of European integration and learning to live and work in international contexts are among the main targets of the Foundation through the Diploma and University Master in Advanced European Studies. The educational programme prepares students for careers in EU, national and local institutions, professional associations, the corporate world and private practice.

Aims

The training provided is geared to preparing students for careers in EU, national and local institutions, professional associations, the corporate world and private practice.

One of the College’s objectives is to build up the students’ professional skills in order to enable them to deal with EU policies and participate in their implementation.

The study programme of the European College of Parma Foundation, welcomed on the EU scene, relies on an academic body including top-level directors of European and national institutions, university professors and experts in EU issues.

DAES develops along two semesters  and includes courses and seminars, as well as lectiones magistrales held by leading European and international personalities.

The programme includes workshops, group activities and debates on European topical issues, in the light of enriching the training with practical experience and fostering active participation.

Attendance of lectures and participation in academic activities organised by the College within the programme are compulsory.

Lectures and academic activities are held in EnglishFrench and Italian.

The academic body includes top officials at the European institutions, university professors and experts in EU issues. Such a faculty composition gives the students the opportunity to have a “direct” contact with policy-makers and actors on the European scene. The direct experience provided by each professor becomes a significant source of training for the DAES students, who will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on European issues and to experience a “hands-on” contact with the protagonists of the “European Construction Site”.

Lectures and academic activities are carried out in three languages: English, Italian and French, with English prevailing.
